Summary: Assists in the implementation and administration of the company's benefits and wellness program policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Executes the company's health and wellness plans, specifically the medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA and COBRA.
  • Manages & executes the company's Wellness Program including communication/education and development/execution of wellness/consumerism initiatives.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of all benefits billing in accordance with both vendor and accounting requirements.
  • Builds partnerships with all departments ensuring their focus on wellness and benefit consumerism.
  • Ensures that Team Members on all shifts are engaged in their benefits programs.
  • Reviews plan documents and corresponds with vendors to prepare responses to more complex employee benefit questions and issues.
  • Supports setup and execution of Open Enrollment activities and communications.
  • Prepares and distributes all required notices.
  • Responds to eligibility, enrollment and participation inquiries about employee benefit programs. Explains benefit policies and procedures.
  • Oversight of accuracy in benefit enrollments, deductions, coverage amounts, qualifying events, and other coverage related information.
  • Oversight of the accuracy of all benefits information in the Benefits Administration platform (UKG PlanSource).
  • Delivers benefits training for new and existing team members.
  • Resolves matters pertaining to team member benefit programs including life, health, disability insurance, medical/dependent care spending accounts, COBRA, and income continuance.
  • Establishes and works within departmental budget.
  • Assists team members with benefits information and claim questions.
  • Assists with all other HR responsibilities as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Benefits Manager, Director of HR, or Vice President of HR.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be experienced with employee benefits administration including health insurance, disability, COBRA, FSA, and other work related benefits in fully and self-insured environments.
  • One (1) year or more Human Resources Benefits experience.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CEBS or other HR (preferably benefits area) certification a plus.
  • Experience in gaming/hospitality or other 24-hour/multi-shift operations is a plus.
  • Experienced in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and various Benefits Administration systems preferred.
  • Successful candidate is someone who operates with confidence, initiative and a sense of urgency.
  • Person should be able to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions, while producing high quality work.
  • Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner and familiarity with HIPAA
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service and presentation skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
  • Ability to successfully fulfill the pre-employment process and obtain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, twisting, bending and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
