Short Description The Benefits Specialist will work together with the Benefits Team in the day-to-day administration of Cooper's benefits program. The Benefits Specialist must have effective interpersonal, communication, critical thinking and analytical skills with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage priorities and multiple projects within required timelines. He/she will take ownership of Health & Welfare responsibilities which can include open enrollment, new hire orientation, assisting with plan auditing, wellness initiatives, COBRA, ACA Reporting, as well as handling daily administrative tasks.
Experience Required 2 to 4 years Benefits experience.
Other qualifications: - Two to four years of Health & Welfare and Retirement Benefits experience
- Effective organizational, detained oriented problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of MS - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access required.
- Knowledge of Lawson preferred.
Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelors degree preferred.
Special Requirements part time, 24 hours a week
