A rapidly growing global energy firm is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This individual will be the subject matter expert for domestic and international leave of absence programs and play a key role in broader total rewards initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across leave administration, vendor coordination, benefits compliance, and compensation cycle support.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for leave administration, including FMLA, short/long-term disability, ADA, workers' compensation, and global leave programs.
  • Manage documentation, payroll coordination, and vendor communication for leave programs.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA and other federal/state/global regulations; assist with audits and non-discrimination testing.
  • Draft employee communications, deliver training, and serve as a resource for HRBPs and managers.
  • Support open enrollment, annual benefits reviews, and compensation planning cycles.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in HR systems; monitor billing and invoicing for benefits vendors.
  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in leave administration and workers' comp within an HR setting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international leave laws and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Workday) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Flexibility to support multiple time zones or weekend work as needed.
  • Experience in benefits, wellness programs, retirement plan administration, and compensation cycle support is highly preferred.
  • Progress toward HR or benefits-related certification is a plus.
