We are currently looking for a Full Time Benefits Specialist to join our Benefits Leave team located at the Carl Albert Service Center working .

Summary:

Performs a full range of specialized support and assistance related to operation the Benefits Division of the Chickasaw Nation overseeing the allocation of employee benefits package

Responsibilities:
Job functions may include the following:
Must have broad knowledge of insurance and leave processes as well as the ability to explain plans to employees
Ensures that employees receive the proper benefits with accurate data entry into the HRIS
Assist with orientation of new employees regarding insurance benefits including presenting at new hire orientation
Addresses employee inquiries about insurance and leave programs.
Assist with employee billing and claims issues, and how to read correspondence from the insurance carrier (EOBs) to make sure they have been paid correctly.
Provides leave application to qualifying employees
Acts as a liaison between employee, carrier and service providers as necessary
Mails and maintains employee correspondence
Maintains electronic files and records of individual employee benefits
Makes updates or alterations to existing employee's benefits as necessary
Participate in annual open enrollment process including preparing, distributing, and receiving materials and forms
Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities

Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
