Benefit Representative - Commercial Benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking detail-oriented and quality-focused Benefit Representatives to join our San Diego Commercial Service Center team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing commercial benefits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. This team operates with a strong emphasis on quality and is regularly audited to maintain high standards. This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role within the company.


Top Daily Responsibilities:

  • Answering inbound calls from members regarding their commercial benefits.
  • Processing membership-related information accurately and efficiently.
  • Preparation and validation of member data and documentation.
  • Handling finance-related activities associated with member benefits.

Top 3-5 Top Skills:

  • Proven experience in a call center environment (inbound/outbound experience highly preferred).
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent attendance history and commitment to punctuality.
  • Some experience with cash handling (e.g., accounting, bank teller, cashier, ledger).
  • Proficient data entry skills with accuracy in alpha-numeric data.

Desired Skills:

  • Healthcare administration experience.
  • Knowledge of ORACLE Revenue Management Billing (a plus).
  • Customer-centric service model.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an inbound or outbound call center environment.
  • Minimum 6 months of data entry experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to pass required assessments.
  • Availability to interview next week is highly desired. Please indicate your interview availability on your resume.
  • No time off will be approved during the initial 2-week training period.
  • No time off will be approved during the first 90 days of the assignment (federal holidays are an exception). Candidates requiring time off within the first three months will not be a suitable fit.

  • Willingness to adhere to strict attendance and tardiness policies.

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST (schedule may slightly vary after completion of training).

Location:

  • 8954 Rio San Diego Drive, 3rd floor, San Diego, CA 92108.
  • Potential for remote work after the initial 3-6 months upon meeting operational performance standards and manager approval.

Target Start Date:

  • June or July (pending confirmation).
