Position Title: Benefits Manager
Position Summary: Under the supervision of Executive Director of Human Resources, the Benefits Manager serves as a coordinator of all benefits of employees managed by the Human Resources Department. The employee will work collaboratively with the other members of the Human Resources Department to achieve stated goals.
Term of Employment: 12 Months, 260 Days
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Reporting Relationship: Executive Director of Human Resources
Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years Benefits experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge of: - Benefit processes and requirements
- Standard benefit structures
Demonstrated Skill in: - Working collaboratively with department to accomplish goals
- Assisting employees in enrollment
- Implementing new benefits processes
- Analyzing data
- Benefits administration
- Customer service
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Work collaboratively with other HR department employees to meet goals
- Ensure compliance in benefits management
- Manage District benefit programs
- Comply with federal, state and local requirements
- Maintain employee benefits records
- Supply new employees with documents related to enrolling, maintaining and understanding the details of benefits
- Coordinate worker's compensation reports with insurance carrier
- Serve as the first contact for employees with benefits questions
- Serve as a liaison with benefits administrator
- Assist in on-boarding process with appropriate employees and designated benefits
- Coordinate with payroll to ensure appropriate deductions are assigned
- Audit benefits deductions on a routine basis
- Coordinate and track employee leaves
- Complete board documents
- Coordinate other benefits as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned
