The Benefits Coordinator will primarily administer all leave of absence programs via ADP's Total Absence Management (TAM) system, Workers' Compensation support and other state specific programs. This position will assist also in the administration of our Health & Welfare and retirement programs.
Caravel Pay Details - $17.75 to $22.00

Essential Functions: - Performs all transactional duties and coordinates the day-to-day functions of the FMLA, STD/LTD, COVID and personal leave processes in collaboration with our Third Party Leave Administrator.
- Provides administrative support for Health & Welfare and 401(k) plans according to policies and procedures set by Company.
- Monitors Benefits Inbox and assists/responds to employees regarding benefits including researching and resolving benefit issues.
- Assist with wellness activities to keep employees actively engaged.
- Coordinates and completes benefits audits including TAM hours, ACA look backs dependent audits, etc.
- Maintains employee benefits files while ensuring both accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide benefit verification service for court orders and other requests.
- Provides Payroll updated benefits Leave files and validate deductions have been set up correctly for all new or changed enrollments.
- Keys in deductions in payroll such as 401(k), Loan and calculates paid leave benefits for each active pay cycle.
- Monitors and addresses errors with vendor files and ensures internal benefits system and carrier system are accurate and completes the first reconciliation cycle for all benefits related billing.
- Serve as a liaison for the employer and employees with the HRBP's for all leave types.
Non-Essential Functions/Other Duties: - Actively participates in annual open enrollment communications, transactions, and audits.

Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role, with frequent sitting and computer keyboarding required. Employee will be required to sit, talk, hear, type and write. Occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and lifting (up to 35 pounds) is required.
Qualifications:Education:- HS Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience: - 1-2 years demonstrated Leave administration experience required and knowledge of State/Local Leave of Absence laws and rules is strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years Human Resources administrative experience strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies: - Must be able to work independently while being a cohesive member of a team.
- Is detail oriented with the ability to meet schedules and honor deadlines.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, including telephone skills.
- Must be able to deal effectively with a variety of individuals, including employees, medical providers, and third-party claim adjusters.
- Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritize work on a daily basis.
- Must be able to deal with challenging situations with mature problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must possess basic word processing skills, including the use of Word and Excel software, and be willing to learn in-house database software.
