Job Title: Benefits Consultant

Shift: Hybrid schedule, 2 days a week (days must be set, but are flexible); 8 hours within the time of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Must-Have:
- Knowledge of benefit policies, procedures, and legal issues applicable to large healthcare organizations
- Expertise in data analysis, problem-solving, and professional interaction with employees at all levels
- Proficiency in computer word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong team-building skills
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation abilities
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM and Benefits Administration data architecture and integration with other modules (payroll, finance, etc.)
- Understanding of project management methodologies, comprehensive benefit product offerings, computing systems, and hospital standard software
- Familiarity with operating systems used in hospital data processing and a variety of hardware and software environments
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry
- Independent working capacity with minimal supervision
- Extensive knowledge of desktop applications
Job Description:
- Responsible for active relationship management and coordination of ancillary benefit plan partners.
- Negotiate and review contracts, and develop and document business processes.
- Facilitate regular meetings and manage change coordination for outsourced services.
- Establish consistent measurement and reporting on vendor partner activities and benefit spend ROI.
- Negotiate performance guarantees in contracts with vendors to improve service levels and align with goals.
- Facilitate regular meetings with vendors and document decisions and resolutions.
- Provide regular progress reports to leadership.
- Ensure timely delivery, summary, and storage of vendor data and key correspondence.
- Integrate vendor services with other areas of HR.
- Support total award team, invoicing, phones, emails, and projects.
- Maintain strong communication skills and professional comfort in working with C-Suite level and all employees.
