Job Description:
The Benefits Assistant will play an essential role in supporting the Benefits team and management in the administration of benefit programs, with a focus on FMLA and leave of absence. The ideal candidate will assist with various benefits-related tasks, from open enrollment to system updates, while maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional service to employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with management and the Benefits team to establish and administer benefit programs
- Assist with open enrollment processes
- Provide support for FMLA and leave of absence (LOA) matters
- Handle enrollment, adjustments, and updates for employees
- Respond to questions via the incoming inbox
- Assist employees with resetting passwords
- Articulate benefit-related information both verbally and in writing to employees
- Act as a liaison between benefit carriers and employees
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential employee information
- Ensure employee information is kept up to date in the system
- Participate in ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of benefits administration experience
- Experience with FMLA and LOA
- Proficiency in all of MS Office
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills
