The Position:
We're looking for a Benefit Analyst to provide support to our employees - someone who is passionate about finding ways to best support our growing Sungrow family. This role will work as Human Resources professionals develop and execute HR strategies, programs and services across one or more parts of the employee lifecycle to attract, develop and retain a highly engaged and differentiated workforce that enables the execution of human capital and business strategies.

Outstanding communication skills, time management, and attention to detail are key attributes in this role. This role will be based in state of CA or TX and reporting to HR Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides general administrative support to various HR functions including benefits, payroll related.
Maintains and updates all employee data in all HR related company systems. Responsibilities include assisting in the admin for all systems (HRIS data, benefits, third parties platform, etc) and running reports as needed.
Establishes/maintains employee records; ensures that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; reviews changes for proper authorization and adherence to APA policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
Explains, interprets, and answers questions regarding medical, dental, vision, disability, life, flexible spending plans, 401k, transportation fringe benefit, pension plan, wellness program, health savings program, COBRA, HRIS, workers compensation, ADA, and/or FMLA to employees, with the support of broker
Verifies information to ensure eligibility, compliance, and plan requirements are met prior to enrolling or de-enrolling employees and dependents for benefit plans
Investigates and analyzes claims and enrollment issues
Conducts monthly benefits audit between HR records and Finance Department to ensure accurate enrollments and deductions
Assists in administration of disability, FMLA, and workers' compensation leaves/claims including coordinating return-to-work and reviewing accommodation requests.
Reconciles monthly bills and coordinates timely payment with the finance department
Reconciles monthly labor cost and coordinates reporting with HQ HR in a timely manner
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
3-5 years of payroll processing experience in a similar professional industry. Energy or renewable energy experience is a plus.
Minimum 1-year experience providing in-house payroll & benefits support in an organization.
Knowledge or familiarity with employment regulations and/or typical human resources procedures, as well as at least 2 human resources categories not including recruitment.
Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Previous experience in Paychex, ADP Workforce Now, etc. is strongly preferred
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and handle confidential matters with discretion.
Ability to determine priorities, plan workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a proactive attitude and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Experience with multi-state employer is required
Experience in global company is preferred
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills required.
Bilingual in English and Chinese is strongly preferred
