A growing people service company is hiring. The People Support Services team ensures that every employee has the resources, care, and support they need to thrive-professionally and personally. We're looking for a detail-oriented, people-first Benefits Administrator to join a dynamic and supportive team. This is a hybrid role with up to three days in office. This is a temp to hire role.

Position Summary As a Benefits Administrator, you'll play a vital role in managing and supporting our employee benefits programs, leave administration, workers' compensation, and general employee support. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys solving people-related puzzles, and believes in the power of thoughtful, responsive HR.

You'll work closely with both internal teams and external vendors, helping to ensure our benefits processes are efficient, compliant, and centered on the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, and Voluntary plans (enrollments, changes, terminations, COBRA).
  • Billing & Reimbursements: Reconcile benefit invoices and process payments including wellness reimbursements, Live Scan and TB test reimbursements, and CPDO credit card transactions.
  • Leaves Management: Administer employee leaves including FMLA, PDL, and other available types; guide employees through processes with clarity and care.
  • Workers Compensation: Coordinate claims and provide employees with clear instructions for treatment and follow-up.
  • COVID Protocol Support: Manage time-off procedures, reporting, and related communications.
  • Verifications & Inquiries: Respond to employment verifications, EDD forms, and partner organization requests.
  • Orientation & Employee Support: Present benefits information during new hire orientation and respond to employee questions related to eligibility, policies, and procedures.
  • Compliance & Communication: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and communicate updates and policy changes effectively.
  • HRIS & Reporting: Enter and update benefits data in the HRIS and collaborate with payroll to ensure accuracy.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration
  • Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to employee benefits and leaves
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits enrollment platforms
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
