GSL Education are inviting applications for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive SEND provision in Weymouth. This full-time, permanent role is available for an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in students' lives.

Your Responsibilities will be to:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils presenting with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Implement behaviour intervention strategies under the guidance of the SENCO or behaviour lead.
- Help manage classroom dynamics, de-escalate incidents, and promote a positive learning environment.
- Record behaviour incidents and monitor progress towards behavioural targets.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to meet pupil needs.
- Build trusting relationships to promote student self-esteem, independence, and success.
What We re Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional resilience.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage difficult situations effectively.
- A trauma-informed and child-centred approach to support.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
