Behavioral Health Specialist Location: Big Bend, Texas (Marfa) Shifts: 12-Hour Day or Night Shifts Support Perks: Sign-on bonus or housing assistance may be available (eligibility-based) Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking Behavioral Health Specialists to serve onsite at federal processing facilities in Big Bend, TX (Marfa). In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of children in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security along the U.S. Southwest Border. You will join a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering trauma-informed care, crisis response, and collaborative child-centered behavioral health support. What You'll Do As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will work within DHS processing centers to support vulnerable children through behavioral health assessments, emotional stabilization, and advocacy for child-friendly care practices. Core Responsibilities Serve as the primary behavioral health contact for facility staff Conduct rounds to monitor and assess child well-being Provide real-time crisis intervention and de-escalation Offer trauma-informed guidance to staff supporting children in distress Collaborate with CBP, HHS ORR, NGOs, and medical providers to coordinate care Assist in complex decisions related to psychological, medical, or developmental concerns Maintain detailed, timely clinical documentation Participate in ongoing process improvements to enhance care environments Schedule & Shift Details This position follows a rotating 4-on/3-off and 3-on/4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts: Week 1: 4 days on, 3 days off (48 hours) Week 2: 3 days on, 4 days off (36 hours) Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM Includes rotating weekends and holidays Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field Active, unrestricted license as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Psychologist (LP) Minimum 2 years of post-licensure experience in: Child development Trauma-informed care Clinical evaluations Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred (minimum ILR 3/5 or equivalent) Experience in team-based, fast-paced clinical or care environments Ability to adapt quickly to evolving program and operational needs Why Join Blue Rose?
