What does a Behavior Technician do?

1. Works one-on-one with a child diagnosed with autism through presenting frequent learning opportunities that include, but are not limited to, language and communication, social skills, school readiness, behavior management, play and leisure skills

2. Works with the child on daily activates such as playing, feeding, toileting, crafting, outdoor play, tooth brushing, and cleaning.

3. Collects data through written and electronic models for real time decision-making and data analysis by a BCBA.

4. Works in a team environment with an expectation of open communication with all levels.

5. Participates in meetings for both the client and staff.

6. Completes all required clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

7. Utilizes Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABA) strategies as instructed and trained by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).


Am I qualified?

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Strong interpersonal skills, that include professional interactions with parents, clients and coworkers.

Ability to problem solve and think creatively about teaching skills.

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to interact with children while having fun

Pay range: $18-22 per hour with monthly attendance and performance incentives.
