Before School Program Substitute

Were currently accepting applications for substitute positions in our Before School Program for the school year within the Beacon City School District in Beacon, NY.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
PAY: $15.50 per hour

As part of the Before-School Program team, youll be expected to:

Lead fun, hands-on activities guided by the Healthy Kids Curriculum ranging from fitness and STEAM to academics, arts, and yes, even homework help.
Create a safe, supportive, and fun-filled environment where kids can thrive. Be the positive role model they look up to each day.
Maintain regular communication with families using the Playground App because sharing special moments and daily updates is part of the magic.
Stay on top of OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules of the host school to keep everything running smoothly.
In some cases, help with operational duties such as attendance tracking, registration, or staff coordination.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Youre at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
While having a year of experience with children under 13 is a plus, its not required we welcome enthusiasm and potential.
Medically cleared by your provider and free of communicable illnesses, including TB.
Youre outgoing, friendly, and professional. Whether interacting with kids, families, or coworkers, your people skills shine. Youre reliable and punctual too.
Physically able to bend, stretch, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and keep up with active children throughout your shift.
