We are excited to be hiring Group Teachers for our Before and After School Program at Knowlton Elementary in Delaware, NJ. Were searching for someone who is passionate about working with children and dedicated to fostering an environment where kids can succeed and grow.

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
PAY RATE: $15.49 - $17.00 per hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guiding Compliance: Ensure the program and staff align with NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by the host school.

Bringing the Fun: Lead hands-on activities using the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and much more. Plus, you'll be the go-to person for helping with homework completion.

Be a Role Model: Provide a safe, healthy, and enjoyable environment where kids can thrive. Be the role model they'll look up to every single day.

Managing Like a Pro: Assist the Site Director with administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. Youll also be the designated leader when the Site Director is away.

Communication is Key: Keep parents and families in the loop through the Playground App, ensuring clear communication about their childs day.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Site Director, keeping them updated on daily activities and addressing any issues that arise. By working as a team, well provide top-notch care and create a positive environment while tackling challenges head-on.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree in Child Development or Child Development Certificate
OR

Six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, plus nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or any other field related to child growth or development

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prepare to complete a background check, including fingerprinting, references, and SEL & SCR.

Must be medically cleared to perform job duties and free from any communicable diseases, including TB.

Youre warm, friendly, and approachable, with excellent people skills whether interacting with children, parents, or your teammates. You're also professional, reliable, and punctual.

Be ready to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs., and do whatever it takes to keep up with energetic children.
