Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing underground infrastructure company delivering a full suite of stormwater and wastewater system services across the southeast US. They specialize in open-cut, trenchless rehabilitation, inspection and cleaning, and spray rehabilitation of municipal and private utility systems.

The firm works to provide clients with innovative, cost-effective solutions that extend the life of underground assets while minimizing disruption. Their core services include CCTV inspection and cleaning, manhole rehabilitation, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, spray-applied structural rehabilitation, stormwater and sewer asset management, trenchless pipe and point repair, and open-cut services.

Due to company growth, our client requires a proven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead cross-selling and new business development efforts across Georgia. This role requires a results-driven professional with established relationships in the underground utility, municipal, and/or private construction sectors. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of success, understands local market dynamics, and is passionate about helping municipalities and utility clients solve complex infrastructure challenges.

The responsibilities of this position include:
  • Working with existing BD representatives to transition their book of business.
  • Proactively generating new business opportunities across Georgia by promoting the company's full suite of underground infrastructure services.
  • Leveraging existing relationships to drive awareness, qualify leads, and win work across municipal, utility, and contractor segments.
  • Developing and executing territory-based growth plans focusing on cross-selling multiple service lines.
  • Conducting meetings, presentations, and site visits to educate clients and partners on the company's capabilities.
  • Coordinating with estimating and operations teams to develop tailored proposals and bids.
  • Tracking pipeline activity, market intelligence, and project progress using CRM tools.
  • Attending regional conferences, association meetings, and trade shows to enhance visibility and network reach.
  • Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales goals.
Qualifications for this position include:
  • 5+ years of business development or sales experience in underground municipal I&I repair and maintenance services.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue and winning work with municipalities, utilities, and/or large contractors.
  • Strong existing relationships in Georgia with public works agencies, consulting engineers, and infrastructure decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of municipal procurement processes, capital improvement programs (CIP), and contract vehicles.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot, Netsuite, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Georgia and Florida as needed
Compensation for this position is $110 - $130K, or commensurate with experience, plus commissions, full benefits and vehicle allowance.
