Its solid-state lithium battery (SSLB) technology enables the production of lightweight, and cost-effective rechargeable batteries for diverse applications. The company's products find application in the manufacturing of hearables, wearables, and connected sensors.
The client is seeking a a highly motivated Battery Cell Electrical Test Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will be responsible for the development and support of automated electrical test solutions for solid-state lithium-ion battery production. This role is based in San Jose, CA and it involves close collaboration with Operations, Applications, and Product teams and requires strong cross-functional coordination and problem-solving skills.
What You'll Do:- Define and develop test requirements for battery cell evaluation and production.
- Design test fixtures, electrical PCBs, and develop software for automated test systems.
- Implement automated test protocols and perform data acquisition and analysis for solid-state batteries.
- Support rapid development and deployment of test solutions for new product introduction, process characterization, and high-volume manufacturing.
- Conduct statistical data analysis and create scripts or tools as needed to manage and maintain test databases.
What You Should Have:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or higher).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical testing and automated test systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in electrical testing, test setup/debug, and PCB design is a
- must.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data interpretation.
- Proficiency in test development using Python and/or LabVIEW (preferred).
- Prior experience with battery testing and evaluation (preferred).
- Strong team player with excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience in system-level testing is a plus.
