Laboratory Technician in
Southfield, MI. Responsibilities: - Primary responsibility of supporting the development of solutions for the Coatings Industry.
- The position is working in a chemistry lab.
- Duties include, but are not limited to, mixing chemicals, testing samples, and documentation.
Requirements: - 1 year Laboratory Experience
- Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with email, MS Word and MS Excel.
- Experience in laboratory activity - performance experiments and familiarity with basic chemical mixing is required.
- Experience in vendor management - ordering materials, cataloging materials
- Basic knowledge of chemical instrumentation required.
- Basic knowledge of chemical compatibility required.
- Basic knowledge of chemical handling and chemical storage required.
Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property. Education: A high School diploma is required with 6 years practical laboratory experience, an Associate's degree with 2 years practical laboratory experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field.
Location: Southfield, MI 48033
Pay Rate: The pay range for this position is $24.00 - 25.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Length of Assignment: Contract to hire
