Bartender Job Description:
Felipe's Bartenders host parties every shift, serving award-winning Margaritas in a friendly and welcoming environment. They are passionate about hospitality and enjoy engaging with all types of people. The bartender is often the first person our guests come in contact with. It is their job to direct new guests who may need help with accurate information about our menu, our style of service, or answers to any questions a guest might have about Felipe's. Bartenders must have extensive knowledge of Felipe's food, cocktails, values, and history. The Bartender's direct supervisor is the Manager on duty (MOD).
Bartender Daily Responsibilities:
- Be Attentive, Respectful, Resourceful, Interactive, Busy, and Accountable (ARRIBA).
- Smile, Acknowledge, Listen, Suggest, Always thank (SALSA), and follow the steps of service when engaging with guests.
- Follow the "Felipe's Way" for all bar offerings including hand-squeezing the famous Felipe's Key Lime Margaritas and always using a jigger (we don't free pour).
- Felipe's is known for freshly squeezed citrus. On virtually every shift, a bartender juices and prepares batches following Felipe's recipes and standards.
- The bartender is responsible for the bar's overall appearance, the quality of drinks, and the service. They must maintain organization and cleanliness in all areas of the bar, bar storage, and bar prep areas.
- Strictly follow the carding policy.
- Care and cleaning of all bar equipment
- During happy hour and busy shifts, Bartenders often work as a team to serve guests.
- Bartenders in Deep Cleaning Days.
Bartender Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- A valid, Responsible Vendor Permit
- Prior guest service experience.
- Prior server or bartender experience is preferred.
- The availability to work both lunch and dinner shifts
