POSITION SUMMARY: The Barback position is an extension of the bartender. They are in place to assist the bar staff in delivering top quality service. The Barback helps the bartenders in maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and keeping inventory levels appropriate for the volume of business. This position also helps service the floor by running food and bussing dirty dishes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Keep the bar fully stocked at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the bar and its respective areas.
- Put away the liquor/beer deliveries that come in during the day.
- Assist the bartender with anything that they may need.
- Help with punching orders into the POS system, if needed.
- Cut garnishes when low.
- Refill juice bottles, fruit trays, and ice wells.
- Restock liquor bottles and change out beer kegs during shift.
- Replenish napkins, straws, and other counter items.
- Maintain clean towels in each bartender's station.
- Clean drink spills and sweep broken glassware immediately.
- Clean counters during & after shift.
- Run food as needed to tables.
- Bus tables for dirty glassware and dishes.
- Take out trash and recycling throughout the shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol (based on state regulations).

- Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.
EDUCATION: High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good knowledge of the English language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Must be able to read and listen to instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.
PHYSICAL ABILITY: - Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
