DEPARTMENT: Beverage Service
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Receive and take guest orders and process in a timely manner through whatever systems are currently used in the restaurant.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Perform sidework as assigned
• Operate point of sale system.
• Straighten chairs, and keep floor free of debris.
• Clean service area and replenish as needed.
• Bus and set tables.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate with support crew and management.
• Adhere to the Coury Hospitality Cash Handling Policy.
- Extend and total the check double-check for accuracy and have host sign it.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of wine and other alcoholic beverages and have the ability to explain to guests.
• Must be able to obtain a state liquor license.
EXPERIENCE:
• Previous bartending or cocktail serving experience preferred.
