Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting Recreation Bar Attendant to join the hotel's opening team. Opening in early 2025, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. Job Description

Andaz Miami Beach is looking for Recreation Bar Attendants who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Recreation Bar Attendants are all beneficial but not required. The Recreation Bar Attendants. In this role, you will be required to welcome and attend to our guests. To be a successful pool bar attendant, you will need to have excellent customer service skills, be highly organized, and have a good knowledge of bar equipment.

Duties and functions

• Restock and replenish bar supplies, such as glassware, straws, napkins, and garnishes, to maintain uninterrupted service.

• Ensure that all beverage stations are fully stocked with clean glassware, ice, and necessary ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bar area, including counters, tables, and equipment.

• Empty trash bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste according to health and safety regulations.

• Clean and polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment to uphold high standards of presentation.

• Assist in delivering beverages to customers, ensuring accuracy and promptness.

• Monitor the bar area for empty glasses and promptly collect and clean them to maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere.

• Receive and organize deliveries of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring proper storage and rotation.

• Maintain inventory levels of bar supplies and notify management when items need to be replenished.

• Work closely with bartenders and other bar staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional customer service.

• Communicate effectively with team members, sharing relevant information and providing support as needed.

• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

• To ensure that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control

• Works alongside other bartenders to ensure garnishes, syrups, and other bar prep is done on a consistent basis to keep up with business levels

• Setting up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture.

• Ensuring that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe.

• Managing the swimming pool cleaning schedule and performing daily inspections.

• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

• To ensure that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control

• Performs opening side work and set up station

• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings

• Listens to guests and anticipates their needs

• Proper serving of wine and alcohol (with awareness)

• Completes closing side work for specific table sections
