Job Overview:

The Banquet & Event Bartender at Cascade Hotel will be responsible for providing efficient and exceptional beverage service during private events, such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and other special events. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing the bar station, and ensuring smooth operational flow during each event. The Banquet & Event Bartender will work closely with the Event and Beverage teams to support seamless event execution and maintain the hotel's high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Bartending Service:

o Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Cascade Hotel's standard procedures and guest preferences.

o Ensure all drinks are prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently.

o Serve beverages in a professional manner, ensuring that all guests receive prompt and friendly service.

o Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene if necessary to ensure responsible drinking.

Event Setup & Breakdown:

o Set up the bar area before each event, ensuring all necessary supplies (liquor, mixers, glassware, garnishes, etc.) are stocked and organized for efficient service.

o Break down the bar area after events, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

o Assist with organizing the event space as needed and communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager and Beverage Supervisor to ensure smooth transitions before, during, and after events.

Customer Service:

o Provide outstanding customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor at all times.

o Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring a positive experience throughout the event.

o Engage with guests and maintain an attentive presence, ensuring they have everything they need for an enjoyable experience.

• Operational Duties & Inventory Management:

o Maintain inventory levels for all beverage supplies during events and inform the Banquet Manager or Beverage Supervisor if restocking is necessary.

o Handle cash and process payment transactions accurately, following the hotel's procedures for financial transactions.

o Clean and sanitize workstations, glassware, and utensils regularly to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

Compliance & Safety:

o Adhere to all state and local alcohol service laws and hotel policies regarding alcohol service.

o Check identification to verify legal drinking age of guests when necessary.

o Maintain a safe and orderly work environment by following safety guidelines and practices, including managing spills and breakages immediately.

Team Collaboration:

o Work effectively with the Event team, servers, kitchen staff, and other hotel personnel to ensure seamless service and event execution.

o Communicate effectively with the Banquet Manager to stay aligned on event timelines, guest preferences, and any operational adjustments.

o Assist with any additional duties as required to support the overall success of the event.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience:

o Previous bartending experience preferred, in an event or hotel setting.

o Ability to handle high-volume events and serve guests efficiently and professionally.

• Skills:

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.

o Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

o Ability to stay calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.

• Physical Requirements:

o Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks during the event.

o Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, and weekends.
