Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 / hour

Position Overview: As a Banquet Bartender at Orange Hill Restaurant, you will be responsible for creating cocktails, providing outstanding service to guests, and maintaining a clean and organized bar setup during private events and special occasions. Your expertise in mixology, attention to detail, and dedication to hospitality will contribute to the success of each event and ensure an exceptional experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  1. Cocktail Crafting: Prepare a variety of cocktails, specialty drinks, and beverages with precision and creativity, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
  2. Guest Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to banquet guests, engaging with them, taking drink orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
  3. Bar Setup: Set up and organize the bar area for events, including stocking supplies, arranging glassware and garnishes, and ensuring that all equipment is clean and in working order.
  4. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the event's beverage menu, including signature cocktails, wine selections, and non-alcoholic options, and be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.
  5. Efficiency and Timeliness: Work efficiently to serve beverages in a timely manner, maintaining a steady flow of service to accommodate the needs of guests during events.
  6. Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely, processing payments and reconciling sales at the end of each event according to company policies and procedures.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other banquet staff, including servers, event coordinators, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth communication and efficient service delivery throughout the event.
  8. Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of beverages, cleanliness of the bar area, and compliance with alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a bartender in a banquet or catering setting preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer, with a passion for mixology and beverage craftsmanship.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
