JOB DESCRIPTION
They are seeking an associate to join the Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice group in their Pittsburgh office. The associate will work closely with senior shareholders on the full spectrum of bankruptcy cases and projects for clients.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Support the general Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice;
- Support clients in broad and varied areas of law;
- Draft and negotiate forbearance agreements, bankruptcy plans, and corporate documents;
- Make regular court appearances in bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships, and related litigation;
- Assume borrower representation in financing transactions;
- Prepare motions, briefs, plans and other bankruptcy documents;
- Assist in preparation of expert reports and mediation statements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- License to practice law in Pennsylvania;
- Degree from an accredited law school;
- 2 years' experience;
- Commercial Experience a bonus;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Solid writing and editing skills with a focus on developing thoughtful and persuasive messaging;
- Ability to work in and adapt to a fast-paced work environment;
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management mindset;
- Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork;
- A strong drive to provide proactive, client-focused legal services.

- Experience filing court documents, electronically preferred.
