Beacon Hill Legal is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal in Dallas. You would be joining a well-established law firm that provides legal services across various industries. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and fully on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, and managing logistics
- Maintain and organize bankruptcy case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, including bankruptcy petitions, schedules, motions, and agreements
- Conduct research on bankruptcy law and procedures, including the Uniform Commercial Code; gather relevant information from various sources
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court orders and local rules
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, including gathering evidence and preparing witness statements
- Gather and analyze financial information related to the debtor's assets, liabilities, and debts
- File and write proof of claims, providing supporting documents
- Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy law and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal in a law firm setting, required
- Paralegal associate's degree or other relevant certification
- Proficiency with technology for document management, electronic filing, and legal research
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Exhibit strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000
