We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Band 7 Locum PET-CT Technologist to join our team in Nottingham. This ongoing role offers a competitive pay rate of £35 - £36 per hour, with working hours consisting of 9.5-hour days. The position is available for an immediate start, presenting an excellent opportunity for a skilled technologist to contribute to high-quality PET-CT imaging services in a supportive healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Locum PET-CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing PET-CT scans, ensuring high-quality imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. You will operate sophisticated PET-CT equipment, manage patient preparation and care during procedures, and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols. Your role includes maintaining detailed and accurate records, contributing to the continuous improvement of imaging services, and working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the HCPC or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Significant experience in PET-CT imaging, preferably at Band 7 level.
  • Proficiency in operating PET-CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
  • Evidence of continued professional development in PET-CT technology and imaging.
