Position Overview:

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our hard-working and fast-paced team. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling bakery operations. This role requires a high level of independent judgment and direct oversight of department leaders in Production, Maintenance Engineering, Food Safety, Sanitation, Distribution, Fleet, and Administration.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage bakery operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee the plant budget and financial performance.
  • Establish specific goals and standards for each department to align with company policies and objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operations and cost control.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible production supervision experience, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
  • Professional knowledge equivalent to a 4-year college degree.
  • Completion or enrollment in AIB 16-week class or Certified Bakers program preferred.
  • Experience managing in a union environment is desirable.
  • High analytical ability and independent judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Windows Office, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams.
