Backup/Lead Machine Operator

POSITION: Machine Operator- $21/hr
SHIFT: 3rd Shift, 9pm-5am Monday - Friday
REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Support operators with machine tasks during changeovers.
•  Meet or exceed quality standards.
•  Assist with equipment maintenance, including box preparation, filling hoppers, rework, packing, and pulling.
•  Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S and housekeeping standards.
•  Safely use a crane to load and unload rolls from unwind stands.
•  Notify operator if excessive rework occurs.
•  Follow instructions and take direction.
•  Palletize and operate case conveyors as needed KEY COMPETENCIES
•  Strong communication skills.
•  Manual dexterity and multitasking ability.
•  Capable of following work flow and completing tasks efficiently.
•  Able to use hand tools and measuring devices (including converting decimals to fractions). EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
•  Previous Machine Operation Experience required
•  High school diploma or equivalent.
•  Mechanical aptitude preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•  Ability to stand and work on feet for 8-hour shifts.
•  Frequent bending, reaching, and squatting.
•  Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs overhead regularly.
•  Ability to move shafts weighing up to 65 lbs or more.
•  Close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
