The Position: We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team.
You'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend web services that support critical business functions. This role is ideal for developers looking to grow their skills in a collaborative environment and contribute to meaningful, production-level software.
This position is based in Indianapolis, IN, and requires the candidate to be local, as remote work is not available. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C and the .NET framework.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards.
- Debug and troubleshoot backend issues using logs and profiling tools.
- Use LINQ and SQL to write queries and interact with databases.
- Develop and modify web APIs with predictable, well-structured request/response behavior.
- Utilize caching and proper error handling to improve system performance and stability.
- Collaborate with other developers in planning, design, and code review sessions.
- Participate in team meetings, stay current with new technologies, and share knowledge with peers.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in C , .NET Core or higher, and Visual Studio.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP concepts, and backend architecture.
- Familiarity with Git workflows and version control best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfort using AI tools to assist with development and productivity.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
