What You Will Do - Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems that unify fragmented and legacy construction data.
- Build new APIs and infrastructure to power both internal tools and third-party integrations.
- Own projects end-to-end - from system design through implementation and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver value rapidly and iterate based on feedback.
- Contribute to a strong engineering culture by promoting best practices, mentorship, and code quality.
Ideal Candidate Background - 0-4 years of experience as a backend or full-stack software engineer.
- Strong fundamentals in software design and system architecture.
- Comfortable operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, CDK, EC2, Redis, Postgres).
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical systems.
- Enthusiastic about working onsite in San Francisco five days a week.
- A self-starter mindset: high ownership, low ego, and a team-first attitude.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier U.S. or Canadian university.
- Experience in early-stage tech startups (Seed to Series B).
- A strong track record of excellence through academic, professional, or personal projects.
- Notable internship or co-op experience for recent graduates.
- Previous experience deploying code in high-scale, production environments.
