Backend Engineer who can help us scale our infrastructure and turn real-world sensor data into real-time insights.
What You'll Do - Build and maintain backend systems that power Omen's predictive models for equipment failure detection.
- Develop robust APIs and integrate third-party services across cloud-based platforms.
- Collaborate closely with ML, hardware, and product teams to support data ingestion, storage, and model deployment.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of production systems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and product strategy alongside company leadership.
- Deliver features that directly improve customer experience and create business impact.
Basic Qualifications - Proven experience in full stack or backend development for cloud-based systems.
- Strong proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, Python, Ruby, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API development and third-party service integration.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience using version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have (3+ Preferred) - Experience working with sensor data, signal processing, or time-series data.
- Exposure to machine learning models and deploying them in production.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of embedded systems or edge computing constraints.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or having shipped a hardware product end-to-end.
