Information Technology team for a
Azure Network Engineer. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE. As the Azure Networking Engineer, you will manage cloud-based networks, establish reliable connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments, and uphold best practices for performance and security. You'll partner with cross-functional IT teams, ensuring our infrastructure supports the business while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: Azure Network Configuration & Management: - Design, configure, and optimize Azure Virtual Networks, subnets, route tables, QoS, and network security groups.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot load balancers, firewalls, and related network components to ensure high availability and performance.
- Test, evaluate and propose recommendations on best practice methodologies surrounding emerging technologies that would benefit the firm.
- Schedule maintenance via change control and perform changes during maintenance windows
- Utilize tools like SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, NetBrain, Meraki, and CloudVision to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot Azure environment, connectivity to on-prem data center, and other cloud resources
Hybrid Connectivity & Integration: - Establish and maintain secure hybrid connections (e.g., VPNs, ExpressRoute, vMX, Meraki AutoVPN, IPSec Tunnels) between on-premises data centers and Azure.
- Develop, establish, and maintain ZTA model for Azure resources that integrates with existing SASE architecture .
- Understand the existing technical environment and overall architecture
Collaborate with on-premises networking teams to align routing, security, and monitoring practices. - Thorough understanding BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, vPC
- Understanding and administrating MP-BGP EVPN VXLAN Data Center Architecture
Infrastructure Integration & Optimization: - Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless network connectivity and data flow for building facilities systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize energy usage, reduce operational costs, and enhance system reliability via automation and analytics tools.
- Utilize tools including Visio, Sunbird, and Revu BlueBeam to complete new office designs including Server Room layouts, rack drawings, data network port locations for the suite, etc., in collaboration with the network team
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and Facility teams to communicate, facilitate, and complete low voltage, sound masking, and audio-visual scopes.
- Work the with CohnReznick Network Team installing/configuring/managing network and power hardware/software
Security & Compliance: - Ensure all network configurations follow best-practice security principles and firm-wide compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, NIST, CMMC).
- Proactively identify and address potential vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks.
- Resolve network configurations following vulnerability scans and penetration testing to comply with security policies
Network Automation & Scripting: - Use PowerShell, Azure CLI, or infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible) to streamline deployments and reduce manual processes.
- Develop repeatable processes and documentation for seamless provisioning and maintenance.
Collaboration & Support: - Work closely with other IT teams (infrastructure, security, DevOps) to ensure a cohesive and robust technology environment.
- Troubleshoot requests regarding network connectivity and performance issues including working with vendors to isolate and resolve tier 4 issues.
- Develop KB articles for guidance to the ServiceDesk to be able to troubleshoot, support, and resolve common tier 1 connectivity issues to Azure hosted resources.
- Fully document Azure environment including connectivity to on-prem resources/users, remote users, and other cloud applications depicting full data flow
- Provide learning sessions and insight of the Azure environment to all network team members for understanding and additional tier 2/3 support
- Assist in managing all LAN/WAN and firewall services across 30+ locations including internationally
Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated on emerging Azure networking features and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to the evolution of network architecture and strategic roadmaps, supporting the firm's growth initiatives.
YOUR EXPERIENCE. The successful candidate will have: Education: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Azure Networking, Cisco, Arista, or infrastructure certifications (e.g., AZ-700, CCNA, CCNP, etc) preferred.
Professional Experience: - 1-4 years of hands-on experience with Azure networking components (VNets, NSGs, load balancers)
- 4 years working in Systems/Network Engineer capacity
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity solutions (VPNs, ExpressRoute, vMX, Meraki AutoVPN, IPSec Tunnels) and on-premises networking concepts.
Technical Skills & Knowledge: - Basic understanding of network protocols, routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), firewalls, and switching.
- Experience with automation or scripting in PowerShell and Azure CLI is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible) a plus.
Soft Skills & Attributes: - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams.
- Task oriented with ability to initially triage, scope and define technical problems.
- Ability to identify and execute appropriate escalation steps for problem resolution.
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple tasks or priorities - Can document any working environment leveraging applicable tools to produce a consumable product (Visio/NetBrain/ORG/KB/user-guide)
- Ability to manage tasks (initiate and complete independently) and projects to completion
- Ability to coordinate, drive, and facilitate meetings and presentations.
- Flexible within reasonable accessibility.
- Weekend and on-call coverage.
