Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong Azure administration experience and proficiency in Jenkins to join our team. This role bridges software development and IT operations, focusing on automating, optimizing, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will streamline CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, manage Azure resources, and ensure high availability and performance for our Azure Web Apps and related services. Responsibilities
• Configure, manage, and maintain Microsoft Azure Infrastructure.
• Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps, ensuring rapid, reliable code releases to Azure Web Apps.
• Configure Jenkins pipelines (declarative/scripted) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows, integrating with Git repositories (e.g. Azure Repos).
• Deploy and manage Azure resources (e.g., Web Apps, VMs, VNets, App Service Environments) using IaC tools like ARM templates, or Terraform.
• Configure and optimize Azure networking-subnets, NSGs, load balancers, and Application Gateway-for secure, scalable traffic routing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
• Design and implement Azure Private DNS zones to enable secure, private name resolution for Azure resources (e.g., Web Apps, VMs) within VNets.
• Configure DNS records (e.g., A, CNAME) and link Private DNS zones to VNets, ensuring seamless connectivity for internal services without public exposure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DNS-related issues, integrating Private DNS with Azure services like Private Link for enhanced security and performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain Jenkins servers (on-premises or Azure VMs), managing plugins (e.g., Azure Credentials, Docker, Maven) and security settings.
• Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Partner with developers to optimize app deployment strategies via Jenkins, troubleshoot production issues, and improve performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, network, and application performance.
• Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years in DevOps or cloud engineering roles, with hands-on Azure administration.
• Proven experience managing Azure Web Apps, VNets, and load balancers (e.g., Application Gateway).
• 3+ years working with Jenkins, including pipeline creation, plugin management, and integration with cloud platforms like Azure.
• Experience configuring and managing Azure Private DNS zones for secure, private networking in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Jenkins for CI/CD-building declarative and scripted pipelines, managing multi-branch workflows, and integrating with Azure Repo.
• Scripting expertise in PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, DNS) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating Jenkins with Azure services
• Experience with log collection tools and analysis: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics Workspaces, and App Insights
• Experience with Azure PaaS Services: Azure SQL, CosmosDB, ServiceBus, EventHub, App Service Environment, AKS
WellDoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.
Required Education

Compensation & Benefits
WellDoc offers a competitive compensation package including generous PTO, medical insurance, dental plan, vision care, flexible spending account, and 401(k). The anticipated salary range for this position is between 100-150K with the expectation that most candidates will fall around the midpoint of the range, exceptional candidates may exceed the range.
Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process.
