TIAG is now hiring an Azure Cloud Architect to join our team in support of a Washington State Department. The architect will support a long-term enterprise level modernization effort within an Azure based cloud environment. Candidates must be a U.S. or Naturalized Citizen to be considered. This work is 100% remote with no travel expectations but must be able to fully support normal business hours for the Pacific time zone (M-F, 8am-5pm).

A successful candidates will be able to leverage exceptional skills and experience applying enterprise level architecture principles in solution engineering around applications, infrastructure and cloud systems. The candidate will be detail motivated and experienced working with successful remote teams to support the establishment of a dedicated cloud infrastructure for an enterprise level effort, ensuring scalability, reliability and modern technological capabilities

Required Experience/Certifications:
  • Nine (9) or more years of experience applying enterprise level architecture principles in solution engineering around applications, infrastructure and cloud systems for public and/or private sector.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with delivering deep systems architecture (AWS, Azure, etc.) to address unique management/business, including leading development of cloud architecture migration plan from Azure VMware Service to Azure Native.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with design across application, network, and business systems that enable teams to build scalable, high performing, and supportable applications using modern architectures, patterns, and processes.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with designing and implementing cloud integration plans, enterprise IT security, enterprise data architecture and project/program delivery.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in managing risk and issue assessment, analysis, and response/resolution processes.
  • Current Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
Highly Desired Experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in computer hardware and networking systems and familiarity with programming languages, and operating systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise of working collaboratively with the business and technical partners to defines the deployment strategy by establishing scope that increases the delivery of business and customer value (e.g., determine the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and continuous delivery of improvements to provide maximum business value.
  • Demonstrated expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture, discipline knowledge of cloud platforms, and proven strategic thinking ability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting vendor engagements to efficiently manage deliverables including using tracking and reporting on status including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching industry trends, understanding best practices and implementing informed process changes.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technology or project management topics in business terms.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing both coaching and knowledge transfer to state employees on the implementation of cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure platform.

Pay Range: $130,000 - $145,000 per year
