Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH (onsite) - local consultants are preferred

Duration: 3 months contract to hire

Visa type: USC & GC only

Description:

Responsible for planning, integration, scripting, and execution of test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage. Leads test deliverables reviews as needed. Serves as a subject matter expert on moderate-to-high complexity projects across one or more development environments. Collaborates with BSA and Development teams to ensure requirements are testable, and actively participates in reviewing architectural and technical designs.

• Do not want a DevOps Engineer. They need someone who has a lot of experience setting up infrastructure and managing services in an AWS environment.
• AWS Infrastructure engineers/Platform Admins who support infrastructure services within an AWS environment.
• Their customers are ML Ops folks and Data Scientists.
• We as AWS Infrastructure Engineers/Platform Admins need to make sure the infrastructure set up for them is good enough. No breaks, no issues, granting users access to services, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and maintain test data, validation, and end-to-end flows.
• Execute manual/automated testing, reporting results, and updating test cases based on changes.
• Manage defect analysis, severity assignment, and defect lifecycle in collaboration with BSAs and Development teams.
• Create test strategies, status reports, results, and summaries for production readiness.
• Support UAT efforts, manage regression test bed, and participate in off-hour releases as needed.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and maintain project lifecycle consistency.

Requirements:

• Experience creating test plans/scripts and defining expected outcomes.
• Proficiency in SQL (moderate to advanced), with a focus on data testing over UI.
• Python skills preferred, with experience in scripting, programming, and data migrations.
• Familiarity with API testing, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Able to self-manage, prioritize work, and work under minimal supervision.
• Banking experience required (Collections, commercial loan, or credit card ex)
