Cloud Engineer Job Description: GridIron IT is seeking a Cloud Engineer with an Active Top Secret (SCI Eligible) Clearance. You will support the client's mission to accelerate discovery and delivery of identity and network-based intelligence to counter national security threat actors by applying experience relevant in an intelligence domain. The appropriate candidate is required to have the following skills. Job Duties: Provide technical expertise in range of cloud technologies to include cloud development, cloud architecture, cloud system engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps engineering and operations and Agile development methodologies Leads team on projects of various layers of complexity and creates solution involving or affecting financial, scheduling, methodology, tools and prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, system development, processes, procedures and producing methods Acts as a liaison to take the project requirements from the customer and then translate that to a technical requirement Manage the project stakeholders and works with them as a technical point of contact for everything related to cloud engineering Plan, execute and close projects that meet or exceed customer expectation Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs Implementing various development, testing, automation tools and IT Infrastructure Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities Setting up the tools and the required infrastructure Defining and setting development, test, release, update and support the DevSecOps process Have a technical skill to review, verify and validate the software code developed in the project Troubleshooting the techniques and fixing the code bugs Monitoring the process during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible Identifying and deploying security measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management Incident management and root cause analysis Coordination and communication with team and with customers both external and internal Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and customer Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of professional experience (Master's to sub for YOE) Experience working on Linux/Windows based infrastructure Understanding of Python, Java, JavaScript and similar technologies Configuration and managing database such as MySQL, Mongo and other relational as well NoSQL database Excellent in troubleshooting Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services Knowledge and experience with working with one of the CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins Advanced Experience working with one of the Cloud Service Providers Aws, Azure or GCP Awareness of critical concepts in DevSecOps and Agile principles Preferred Qualifications: CompTIA Security + AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solution Architect, Similar certification in Azure or GCP preferred Certification in one of the Ci/CD tools preferrable Gitlab or Jenkins or attended courses in those ITIL Certification a plus Related Skills: AWS Cloud Architecture AWS Public Cloud Azure Cloud Services Cloud Engineering Enterprise Cloud Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $105,000-140,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
