Summary
CTC Group is seeking an enthusiastic Cloud Engineer for a contingent role to spearhead cutting-edge advancements in cloud computing, shaping the future infrastructure for the entire Intelligence Community. In this role, you will guide mission users in leveraging cloud-based IT systems, assist with development or migration to cloud platforms, and oversee the deployment, troubleshooting, and upkeep of cloud environments. Responsibilities Guiding government stakeholders in coordinating multi-cloud, multi-agency initiatives, while addressing agency-specific policy requirements.
Delivering cloud strategy services that encompass all security fabrics, assisting in the migration of business applications, data, and workloads to optimize multi-cloud environments.
Acting as a cloud-neutral advocate, educating government customers on the capabilities and benefits of cloud services.
Developing and documenting best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
Analyzing mission system requirements and offering recommendations for Cloud Service Provider (CSP) Task Order Proposal Requests (TOPRs).
Providing advisory support to service providers and Intelligence Community (IC) elements for identifying, adopting, and understanding new and existing CSP offerings within the C2E framework.
Advising the government on best practices for application performance, uptime, scalability, and ensuring high-quality code and thoughtful system design.
Transforming customer or product requirements into well-designed cloud solutions that balance technical, schedule, and budget considerations.
Offering technical insights to support the development of customer multi-cloud work statements as needed.
Requirements Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Bachelors degree in a related field. Hands-on experience is acceptable, in lieu of a degree.
4+ years of experience in a cloud and/or hybrid environment
4+ years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following activities:
IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services (e.g., compute, storage, network, security, administration, automation, application services, and databases) in either native cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Developing and deploying cloud solutions to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM Cloud, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience in building and deploying systems in the cloud using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) frameworks and infrastructure automation
Large-scale data architecture, data modeling, database design, and information systems implementation
Strong customer service skills, teaming skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team, as well as the CSPs (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, and Oracle)
Certifications in any of the following CSPs:
Azure
AWS
OCI
GCP
IBM
Desired Qualifications Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience is nice to have
Strong analysis and quality assessment skills
Experience with various Linux and Microsoft Windows OS distributions
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and databases
Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to and from on-prem to cloud
Experience debugging performance and technical issues
