AWS Cloud Engineer San Antonio, TX /Plano, TX Experience (Years): 6-8 Contract Role Onsite from Day 1 Role Description:
- Designing and implementing cloud solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Developing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Creating and managing cloud environments (e.g., production, test, development). Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Implementing security controls and best practices.
Competencies: Digital : Amazon Web Service(AWS) Cloud Computing, Digital: Terraform
Essential Skills:
- Deep understanding of AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc
- .Proficiency in using tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and collaboration. Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS). Ability to monitor and log cloud-based applications using tools like AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail and similar.
Desirable Skills: Solid grasp of cloud concepts like virtualization, scalability, elasticity, and different cloud deployment models. Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and API Gateway. Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including access control, encryption, and compliance. A foundational understanding of data structures and algorithms is helpful for designing efficient cloud solutions.
