Overview:
We're hiring an AWS Architect to join a newly expanding IT team following a recent company acquisition. This is a new role offering the chance to help build a cutting-edge platform from the ground up. If you enjoy designing scalable cloud-based solutions, working in startup-like environments, and wearing multiple hats-you'll love this opportunity.

What You'll Work On:

Architecting and building a cloud-native platform that powers electronic monitoring systems, including GPS-enabled wearables, predictive analytics engines, and mobile supervision tools
Designing robust AWS infrastructure for scalable and secure cloud solutions
Collaborating with a cross-functional scrum team to bring new products to life
Contributing to new development-not support-and ensuring system quality through hands-on testing where needed
Playing a key role in our migration and implementation strategy to the cloud

Tech Stack:

Cloud: AWS (must-have), Azure/GCP (nice-to-have)
Languages: Golang (must-have)
Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Operating Systems: Linux or Windows (for networking components)

Must-Have Experience:

Proven experience designing AWS architecture and cloud-native solutions
Strong architectural mindset - can design, explain, and build off diagrams
Hands-on development skills in Golang
Deep understanding of cloud communications and infrastructure
Experience working in startup environments or fast-paced, build-from-scratch projects
Self-starter who can take initiative and work independently
Ability to handle pressure and adapt quickly in a demanding environment

Nice-to-Have Experience:

Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Background in product development or consulting
Experience with database architecture or performance tuning
