The AVP, Vulnerability Management Specialist is responsible for identifying, assessing, and remediating security vulnerabilities across cloud and on-prem environments to protect infrastructure. This hands-on role involves operating key security controls, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with IT and security teams to ensure regulatory compliance and a strong security posture.

Client is a Global financial market infrastructure provider specializing in multicurrency cash settlement for foreign exchange transactions.


Description


  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans using tools like Qualys or Nessus to identify and assess security risks across systems.

  • Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on impact, coordinating with IT teams to implement timely remediation.

  • Operate and manage core security tools such as SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.

  • Perform security risk assessments for high-impact projects and recommend appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks.

  • Maintain clear documentation and reporting on vulnerabilities, remediation status, and continuous improvement initiatives.


Profile


  • Has hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and processes in both cloud and on-prem environments.

  • Possesses strong technical knowledge of security controls, including SIEM, DLP, EDR, and network protection tools.

  • Demonstrates the ability to assess risk, prioritize threats, and drive remediation efforts in collaboration with IT teams.

  • Holds relevant certifications such as CISSP or GIAC (GCIH, GCIA, GSEC) and stays current on cybersecurity trends and frameworks.

  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong documentation and reporting skills.


Job Offer

The role offers a base salary range of $105,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. It also includes a performance-based annual bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package featuring medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, generous paid time off, and professional development support.
