AVP- US Brand Finance

Brands: Urban Decay/IT Cosmetics/Youth To The People

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing budgets, tracking actuals and working closely with business partners to achieve financial and business objectives for the three brands - Urban Decay, IT Cosmetics, and Youth To The People. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the development and implementation of annual business plan, budget/trend and three-year plan, managing accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis functions, overseeing the completion of trends, budgets and forecasts, and effectively managing administrative duties for the department. This is an individual contributor role within the brand unit who is responsible for collaborating with the CMO and Commercial pillars. This role represents finance on the brand unit mancom.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the development and implementation of annual business plan/budget/trend and three-year plan.
2. Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all budgets, trends, and forecasts.
3. Ensure adherence to corporate financial and accounting policies.
4. Guarantee accurate presentation of financial results.
5. Conduct financial analysis at the highest level to interpret trends, variances from budgets, and variances from standards.
6. Provide advice and counsel to Division consistent with established financial policy.
7. Work closely with Sales teams to gain support and ensure alignment on sales process. This includes work with the Commercial team and identifying all known risks/opportunities to adhere to our divisional sales objectives.
8. Provide transparency and reporting for promotional discounts and work collaboratively with commercial/sales/GM to deliver sales and discount objectives.
9. Analyze and interpret past, present and indicated future results of Division, related to sales, costs, profits, and rate of return. Develop follow-up controls as needed.
10. Manage all accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial record-keeping functions for Division.
11. Assure that accounting records are prepared, maintained, and reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that all ledgers reconcile.
12. Approve schedules, procedures, systems, and methods to ensure timely, informative, and accurate reporting of all financial data. Provide such data and reports to corporation as required and inform Senior Management about financial conditions within Division as necessary.
13. Seek ways to improve the financial reporting process and leverage financial information systems.
14. Perform those administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including the selection and development of employees, performance management, pay administration, etc.
15. Support other special projects as needed.

Education/Experience:

1. 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting required.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
3. Understanding the full P&L.
4. Ability to challenge and influence mancom and senior leaders.
5. Ability to function well in a matrixed environment.
6. Experience strategizing with senior leaders both within and outside of Finance.

Required Skills:

1. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to achieve deliverables.
2. This role requires regular sharing of inputs and outputs with both finance and non-finance functions (BEST, Central Luxe pillars, supply chain finance, RGM, Accounting).
3. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; business acumen; leadership skills; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Strong computer skills required; must have expert-level experience with Excel.
5. Financial reporting experience and use of SAP highly desirable.
6. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Base salary range: $144,000 - $210,000 + Bonus
