Job Overview: The Scrum Master II is responsible for providing Agile facilitation and coaching to 2 Agile teams to ensure the teams adopt and maintain high performing Agile delivery practices, and realize the value intended. This person will oversee 2-3 team that are part of our ClientWorks domain and leverage SAFe methodology.

Responsibilities: The Scrum Master II works closely with the Product Owners, Tech Leads, Portfolio Lead, and Release Train Engineers.
- Ensure the team follows standard Agile processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate team in defining Working Agreements, Definition of Ready, Definition of Done and then ensures those agreements are upheld.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily stand-up (scrum) meetings, retrospectives, demos, backlog grooming / refinement, backlog sizing, sprint planning and team engagement.
- Identify and help to remove impediments, escalate impediments to the product and solutions manager, recommend ways to resolve impediments, and influence leadership to act on these recommendations.
- Help team inspect and adapt process through retrospectives, data / metrics tracking, and creating a safe, trusting environment with space to grow.
- Coaching the team to higher levels of performance.
- Assist with internal and external communication and improving transparency by creating visible information radiators (burn-downs, velocity chart, etc.), dashboards, and demos.
- Provide metric reports to assist in product roadmap planning
- Observe team interactions and use emotional intelligence to discuss observations in a safe, trusting environment.
- Support product planning by participating in release planning discussions.
- Support execution through understanding of priority and sequencing required to deliver efficiently.
- Guide team in commitment making and sprint completion.
- Hold team (Product, Development, QA, and team members) accountable for delivery commitments.
- Help team identify when commitments are at risk and assist team with solutioning to ensure commitments are met.
- Be an agile subject matter expert and provide strategic influence with the product / business and other engineering organizations.
- Ensure team's backlogs are always sufficiently full (at minimum 3-4 sprints worth of work defined).
- Practice servant-leadership and promote learning in others by building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, communicating information, and providing advice to drive efforts forward.

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or related technical field
- 5 plus years of product or project development experience
- 5 plus years of project development experience on an Agile Team or an equivalent combination of Agile Certification and work experience
Core Competencies: - Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Experienced at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
- Planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
- Coaches the Agile delivery team on Agile mindset and methodologies, and relevant processes.
- Expert in Jira and Confluence
- Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
- Has knowledge of compliance. Materially contributes to ensuring work is compliant with regulatory and internal standards.
- Has knowledge of financial management. Makes material contribution to financial management for the team.
- Participates and supports PI Planning process.
- Has knowledge of prioritization. Is able to prioritize own work and to contribute to the prioritization of work of the team.
- Effectively facilitates team events using Agile values as a guide. Can perform scrum by the book. Focuses team on importance and value of "done" increments. Embodies servant leadership and customer-centric mindset.
- Has knowledge of solution architecture and contributes to process.
- Helps the team break down and deliver incremental work. Consistently and transparently tracks and helps remove team impediments. Effectively partners / coaches Product Owner and Dev Team to deliver value. Tracks progress and visualizes work by measuring progress and velocity through defined processes including generating a burn-down chart.
- Values perspective of identified internal customers and consistently seeks feedback. Brings customer-centric perspective to work of the team.
- Ability to impact actions, behaviors and opinions of stakeholders toward a desired outcome or to remove impediments.

- Has knowledge of problem management. Investigates problems in systems, processes and services. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
- Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Documents issues and identifies and applies resolutions, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Partner internally and externally to make effective decisions solving complex problems, escalating high priority issues or impediments as appropriate, monitoring progress and results, and recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
Pay Range: $109,425-$182,375/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
