Job Brief Availability Work Package (AWP) Managers (4928) OLH, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seekingfocused, responsible and reliable candidates with previous Navy experience in a technical/maintenance related Rate to provide Availability Work Package (AWP) Management (AWPMs) to both COMNAVSURFLANT and COMNAVSURFPAC Type Commander (TYCOM) staffs to assist with the development, scheduling, planning, and tracking of surface ship depot level maintenance and modernization work. Responsibilities/Specific duties include: - Monitor depot level availability schedule changes. - Document and maintain root cause data for depot level availability schedule extensions. - Review, monitor, and maintain depot level availability planning and execution milestones. - Review and monitor execution of shipboard events to include: Total Ship Readiness Assessment visits, Continuous Maintenance Availabilities, Maintenance Windows of Opportunity, and Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) material inspections. - Monitor surface ship maintenance funding controls and maintenance requirements during the depot level planning process. - Assist in the development of reports or naval messages in support of the Type Desk Officer with stakeholder communications and management during the depot level planning and execution process. Provide support for planning and execution of Fleet alterations to include: Review and monitor ship class execution strategies or fielding plans. Review and monitor Fleet alteration execution costs. Review and monitor Fleet alteration schedules for depot level availabilities by hull. - Monitor the progress of Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) upon AWP turnover from SURFMEPP. - Produce deferral letters for TYCOM in support of mandatory assessments or mandatory work. Collaborate with maintenance and modernization community stakeholders to ensure that all Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) trade-off decisions are captured in TYCOM deferral letters. Document decisions and discussions in After Action Reports (AARs). -Review cost estimates for planned repairs and alterations, including via submitted Business Case Analysis (BCA). - Support depot level availability duration studies to ensure that corrective maintenance and life cycle maintenance impacts are understood. Provide analyses and reports to maintenance and modernization stakeholders. - Plan and participate in meetings and events to include: TYCOM depot level availability planning conferences, Life Cycle Planning Conferences, Mid-Cycle reviews, AWP turnover meetings, Integrated Project Team Development (IPTD) meetings, AWP close-out meetings, Surface Team One Knowledge Sharing Network forums, milestone meetings for advanced planning, and CNO availability work planning meetings including A-410 meetings and events. - Provide an After-Action Report (AAR) for each event. AARs can be in summary form not to exceed 2 pages in length. - Monitor the depot level planning process to ensure required maintenance is scheduled to correct Departures from Specifications. Where required maintenance is not scheduled for execution, support TYCOM staff communications with shipboard personnel to ensure planning of required repairs. Document contact with the ship and correction of identified problems in monthly report summary. -Analyze and monitor Class Advisories, Fleet Advisories, and In Service Engineering Agent advisories. Track completion of advisories by hull and report to maintenance and modernization stakeholders. - Prepare and deliver maintenance and modernization planning process briefs, presentations, and updates. - Prepare lock letters for TYCOM in support of the execution of availability work packages. Collaborate with maintenance and modernization community stakeholders to ensure lock letters are appropriately validated and balanced with life cycle, mandatory work, and corrective maintenance within the allowed target controls. - Other duties as assigned related to the planning and execution of Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Surface Ship Availabilities. Requirements US Citizen SECRET Clearance Eligible 10 years' experience in Navy Maintenance practices.
