Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AV/VC Infrastructure Engineer to join our enterprise collaboration and conferencing team based in Austin, TX. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Cisco Webex technologies, AV automation (Ansible), and Splunk-based monitoring, who thrive in a fast-paced, live-demo and production support environment.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, validating RoomOS releases, and ensuring optimal AV infrastructure performance through proactive monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and manage Ansible automation workflows for AV/VC infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain Splunk dashboards to monitor system health and service performance.
  • Lead RoomOS upgrade cycles, including after-hours testing and deployment support.
  • Conduct end-to-end validation of new RoomOS releases and file bugs/enhancement requests with Cisco.
  • Collaborate with Cisco TAC for incident troubleshooting, bug escalations, and resolution.
  • Participate in beta testing of new AV products/features and provide structured feedback.
  • Provide real-time technical assistance to field support teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform network and AV troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Offer support for Webex App, Webex Meetings, and Webex Webinar platforms.
  • Contribute to GitHub repositories for version-controlled automation code and peer code reviews.
  • Maintain strong operational knowledge of Cisco telepresence hardware (Webex Boards, Codecs, Cameras, Peripherals).
  • Provide onsite presence (minimum 3 days/week) for live demos, issue debugging, and OS validation prior to GA.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (BE preferred).
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise AV/VC environments.
  • Expertise in Cisco Webex Meeting environments and telepresence hardware.
  • Proven experience with Ansible and Python scripting for AV automation.
  • Strong skills in Splunk for data analytics, monitoring, and dashboard creation.
  • Familiar with GitHub, version control practices, and platforms like AWX.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across AV systems, networks, and operating systems.
  • Willingness to work after-hours when necessary and handle high-priority production issues.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude in team-based environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Webex Control Hub.
  • Knowledge of enterprise AV architecture, integrations, and best practices.
  • Prior experience supporting live demo environments or AV labs.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for AV deployments.
