Responsibilities - Service Technician:
- Perform accurate diagnostics, advanced maintenance, and mechanical/electrical repairs-including brake systems, engine performance, suspension, HVAC, and drivability concerns-on Ford and other vehicle makes and models
- Complete routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, battery replacements, and other scheduled preventative care
- Inspect and maintain critical components to support vehicle longevity and safety, including brake pads, belts, hoses, and filters
- Conduct thorough multi-point inspections to proactively identify any service or safety concerns
- Clearly communicate findings, repair recommendations, and timing updates with Service Advisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay up to date with OEM training, technical bulletins, and certification requirements
- Operate dealership-provided tools and diagnostic equipment responsibly and efficiently
- Test drive vehicles post-service to confirm repair quality and performance
- Follow all manufacturer and dealership repair guidelines and procedures
- Accurately document all work completed and ensure repair orders are detailed and complete
- Support a collaborative, customer-focused service team committed to quality work and satisfaction
Qualifications - Service Technician:
- 2+ year(s) of experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or repair facility required
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a focus on quality workmanship
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools, service equipment, and repair software
- Ford or domestic vehicle experience is highly preferred
- ASE certification(s) a HUGE PLUS
- Willingness to complete ongoing training and certification programs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a service environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Experience with diesel engines, hybrid systems, and electric vehicle (EV) platforms is a strong plus
- Positive attitude, team mindset, and a desire to grow with the dealership
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
