Automotive Technician wanted for new Luxury Dealership launching in August.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunction and perform repairs; communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Perform work as outlined on the repair order following dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with the service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician; determines if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Save and tag parts related to repair if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned
- Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and body shop area
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Previous Technician Training
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification (PREFERRED)
- Valid Driver's License Required
