Automotive Store Manager

General Description:
The Automotive Store Manager is responsible modeling outstanding service and quality, executing our "Above and Beyond" philosophy and to duplicate knowledge in others through training and mentorship. The Automotive Store Manager has complete responsibility for both her/his store and employees at all times. The Automotive Store Manager maintains the day to day operations of their store, including compliance with all policies and procedures, codes of conduct, the store's appearance, customer engagement, deposits, POS system, sales, employee scheduling, inventory and overall company culture.

Automotive Store Manager - Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Achieve superior performance as measured by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including total revenue, service revenue, repair revenue, and other operating and quality metrics
  • Engage in face to face customer interaction regarding services and recommendations
  • Develop and train team members to duplicate the "Valvoline Culture"
  • Give quarterly performance reviews and action plans with all team members
  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA & EPA guidelines.
  • Inspire team members in customer service to exceed customer expectations
  • Use Valvoline best practices to drive service, safety and sales
We are looking for:
  • 2-5 years Automotive Store Management experience required, with a staff of 3 to 10 employees
  • Service manager experience (advisory sales), preferably 2 years
  • Automotive technician experience highly beneficial; ASE certifications a plus
  • Model team leadership that delivers results
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to mentor others and ensure efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to create meaningful retention for team members and customers alike
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven track record of exceeding business objectives
  • Ability to work efficiently both individually and as part of a team
