JOB TITLE: Parts Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Purpose: Scott Honda of West Chester is seeking a motivated individual to join our parts department team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As part of our team, you oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, store items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items for shipping. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume auto dealership. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift
Typical Duties and Responsibilities - Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the dealership.
- Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting location changes
- Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and filling out shipping forms.
- Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
- Keep accurate records
- Inspect goods received for damage
- Distributing products to other departments
- Help with preparing auto parts orders for delivery
- Eventually order certain parts and supplies.
MINIMIM QUALIFICATION: - High school diploma or GED certificate
- Prior warehouse or inventory experience necessary.
- Forklift experience and certification a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Current valid driver's license
- Auto dealership experience a plus
- Physical strength and stamina to lift, carry, and unpack heavy items.
